Hear it before you pay
Play a short part of your song as MIDI next to the original. Switch between Original, MIDI and Both, or solo one part. The preview uses a basic instrument. Pick any sound in your DAW.
MIDI that lines up with your DAW
The files follow your song's tempo. When your DAW uses the tempo in the file, bars and beats line up with your song. When a song has no steady tempo, the MIDI uses 120 BPM and the notes keep their real timing.

Questions about audio to MIDI
Short answers about the files, the timing and the price.
Can I convert an MP3 to MIDI?
Yes. Upload an MP3, WAV, M4A or FLAC file. We split the song into parts and write the notes of each part to MIDI.
Do I get the whole song or one instrument?
Both. You get one MIDI file per part, one file with all parts on separate tracks, and a .zip with everything.
How close are the notes to the song?
These are detected notes, so plan to edit some of them. Some parts need more edits than others: the page marks them as busy parts. The preview plays the MIDI next to the original, so you can judge before you pay.
What is the difference between As played and On the grid?
As played keeps the timing of the performance. On the grid moves each note to the nearest beat division, which is easier to edit and opens cleanly in notation apps. The .zip has both.
Can I get drum MIDI from a song?
Yes, when the song has drums. The drums come as MIDI that a drum plugin in your DAW can play.
Why are some parts missing?
We write MIDI only for the parts we find in the song. A part that is too quiet, or not there, shows as not found. Some parts, such as other instruments, get no MIDI.
Which DAWs open the files?
Any DAW that opens standard MIDI files, for example Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, GarageBand, Cubase, Reaper and Studio One. Notation apps like MuseScore open them too.
Is it free?
The preview is free: upload a song, see the notes and hear a short part as MIDI. Most songs also come with a free MIDI sample of up to 8 bars. To download it, create a free account. No card is needed. To download the whole song, unlock it with one payment, or use an Unlimited plan. The unlock also includes the WAV stems of the song.
